Spinal Manipulation and Adjustment
Chiropractic adjustments to the spinal column can ease pain, enhance joint motion, improve your posture, and help your nervous system function normally.
Chiropractic spinal manipulation can be performed safely on most individuals of all ages, including newborns. An initial evaluation analyzes your spinal alignment, checking for any imbalances that may be producing your health challenges. We will ensure that you are a good candidate for chiropractic adjustment before proceeding. Repeated adjustments help the body accept the changes in joint position, although you may feel substantial relief almost immediately.
Spinal Decompression
Decompression therapy is a non-surgical procedure that effectively treats disabling low back, neck, radiating leg and arm pain, and headaches by reducing the pressure on spinal discs and facet joints through unloading created by distraction and positioning.
Decompressin therapy is a highly successful treatment for patients suffering from bulging, herniated, degenerative or ruptured discs as well as sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, and many failed back surgery cases. This treatment helps patients avoid the risk of aesthesia, surgical complications, and the potential of failed back surgery.
Cupping
Cupping soothes the nervous system, creating a parasympathetic “rest and digest” response. The negative pressure from cupping pulls these waste products up and flushes out. Helping to facilitate new fresh blood coming in and aiding with final clean up. The vacuum formed by cupping brings old stagnant blood and cellular waste to the surface and away from the affected tissue. Now fresh, healthy new blood and fluid can circulate to the area bringing in fresh oxygen, blood cells and nutrients to the area.
In areas where there is stagnant blood, lymph, cellular waste and toxins, cupping marks are usually left behind following treatment. This means stagnant fluids have been flushed from deeper layers to the surface aiding in recovery. The color and pattern of the marks depends on the level of stagnation in the area. Discoloration following treatment ranges and usually lasts anywhere from 3 days to a week. These colorful displays are normal and should not be painful. These are not bruises which are caused by trauma to the body resulting in ruptured blood vessels.
Kinesio Taping
The Kinesio Taping method is a therapeutic taping technique which alleviates pain and facilitates lymphatic drainage by microscopically lifting the skin. This lifting effect forms convolutions in the skin, increasing interstitial space and allowing for decreased inflammation in affected areas.
Graston
This instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization decreases scar tissue formation and fascial restrictions caused by musculoskeletal injuries such as muscle strains and tendonitis. The technique has been shown to decrease surgical scar appearance, increase flexibility, and decrease pain.
Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses acoustic waves to relieve pain and promote healing in soft tissues, ligaments, and tendons. It stimulates increased blood flow & growth hormones, promotes new tissue growth, breaks down tissue, and degrades nerve bundles, which allows for pain modulation. It has many different opportunities to help with tendinopathy, hip impingement, kidney stones, plantar fasciitis, achilles tendinopathy, and foot, knee, leg, elbow, shoulder pains. It's also known as extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) or radial shockwave therapy (RSWT).
